The Raven Underground Coal Project
Coal quality testing, completed by Pincock Allen & Holt, confirms 80% of the coal produced from the proposed Raven Project will be suitable for steel-making.
Steel is essential to the production of food, delivery of clean water and provision of housing and transportation. It is a primary ingredient in many renewable or energy efficient technologies such as windmills or hybrid cars. Homes, businesses, vehicles, recreation and industry all require steel.
The project is in the early stages of research, consultation and preliminary studies. The results of environmental and engineering studies as well as public and First Nation considerations will be incorporated into the design of the project.
